Heat Pump Installation

Installing a heat pump system not only provides you with both heating and cooling in one system, it can also lower your energy bills. Heat pumps are categorized by the way in which they facilitate the heat exchange. It is important to know which type of heat pump is most suitable and meets your needs and budget. Here are the common types of heat pumps:

  • Air-Source Heat Pump
  • Water-Source Heat Pump
  • Ground-Source Heat Pump
  • Hybrid Heat Pump Systems

Boiler Installation

Boilers are complex hydronic heating systems that heat your home by pushing hot water through radiators, baseboards, or in-floor or radiant floor heating. Whichever type of boiler system is in your home, we can help provide options that best meets your heating needs and budget.

  • High Efficiency Boilers
  • Electric Boilers
  • Gas Boilers
  • Combination Boilers

Furnace Installation

Furnaces are forced-air heating systems that warm your home by pushing warm air through ducting in the floor, walls, and ceiling of your home. Whether you’re already using a natural gas furnace or requires an upgrade from an oil furnace, we can help provide options that best fit your home, needs, and budget.

  • High Efficiency Furnaces
  • Oil Furnaces
  • Natural Gas Furnaces
  • Electric Furnaces

Ductless Mini Split Installation

Ductless mini splits are heat pump systems that provide the ultimate control in heating and cooling on a room-by-room basis. Extremely flexible and suitable for both houses and condos, we can help provide the best options for your needs and budget.

  • Single-Zone Ductless Mini Splits
  • Multi-Zone Ductless Mini Splits

Can Heat Pumps Be Installed in Old Houses?

C
B

Many older houses in Metro Vancouver run a furnace for heating, allowing for easy adaptation to a heat pump. For older homes using hydronic heating, such as baseboards or radiant floor heating, a ductless mini-split heat pump is the perfect choice. How Often Do You Service a Heat Pump?

C
B

Servicing of heat pumps depends on the type and age of the unit, the frequency of use, and the level of maintenance performed on the system. Generally, expert heat pump installers recommend heat pumps should be serviced once a year to maintain the system’s warranty, and to ensure the heat pump is running smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Why Should I Upgrade to a Heat Pump?

What Boiler Should I Use If My Home Has Poly B or Grey Pipes?

C
B

Many older homes in British Columbia use Poly B (polybutylene) pipes throughout the house for hydronic heating. As Poly B is not an oxygen barrier, it expedites the corrosion of cast-iron heat exchangers in boilers. So, they are prone to damage and leakages due to the wide water temperature ranges in mid-efficiency single-stage boilers.

We suggest you choose a high-efficiency boiler system with a stainless steel heat exchanger and stable water temperature. This will prolong the lifespan of the system and reduce the chances of water damage in your home.
